TEST SESSION WITH MONDRAKER MS TEAM IN BARCELONA!

After the test session in New Zealand where Brook MacDonald and Markus Pekoll worked with Cesar Rojo of Mondraker and Jono, Marzocchi engineer from Wide Open Distribution on setting up the bike, the MS Mondraker Team was back in Europe, and testing continued close to Barcelona.

TEAM MONDRAKER MS TEAM Damien Spagnolo, Emmeline Ragot and Markus Pekoll were testing suspension setups for the first worldcup in Pietermaritzburg with the Marzocchi M works engineer Stéphane Guillaume. In order to get the final touch and some race experience all three riders were competing a race in St. Andreu de la Barca, which ends up with 2 podiums for the MS Mondraker team. World champion Emmeline won by almost 20 seconds and vice world champion Damien got 2nd just 0,8 seconds behind local matador Guardia Pascual Bernat.

Now the whole team is off to South Africa to the first worldcup race of the 2012 race season in Pietermaritzburg. Stay tuned on Sunday 18/3 12:15 for the finals of the 1st UCI MTB DH worldcup!

New Orange Patriot in 2012 with Marzocchi 66 fork
Orange plans to relaunch its legendary Patriot downhill bike in 2012. Three years ago it got replaced for all downhill competitions by Orange’s Alpina. After three years of iterating tests and improvement, next year a new Patriot will come to the market, rolling with a Marzocchi 66 fork.

Part of the Bike Festival in Willingen, the Crema Cycles Short Track Race took place as another stop of a series for MTB, Singlespeed, 4X and XC riders. Because of the relatively long track, this is not really a reace for sprinters.
Successful 4X weekend in Fort William!
The second UCI World Cup stop was a big success for the Chain Reaction Cycles Team. Especially young talented rider Michael Mechura who participated in his first World Cup race ever, showed a fantastic performace.
Anne Caroline Chausson
IBIS and Marzocchi rider Anne Caroline Chausson has won the all mountain series#2 in Joucas (FRA). Despite the unconfortable weather conditions, Chausson took an easy race and finished before Morgan Such and Morgane Jonnier. With her victory in the South of France, she drastically improves in the General Ranking. After her big triumph she will lean back and recover for a week to get in form for the maxivalanche next week in Andorra.

200 riders joined the competition, 15 of them were from Italy. Among these, the AXO Pro Gest and Argentina Bike teams - both endorsed by Marzocchi - stood out with pretty good results.
