The Protek Team gains the fifth place thanks to the Greek biker Ilias Periklis at European Marathon MTB 2012 in Czech Republic
The Protek Team won, thanks to the Greek biker and national champion, Ilias Periklis, the fifth place at mountain bike European Marathon Championship.
16th June – The Protek Team, headed by the young manager from the Marches Andrea Marconi and equipped with Marzocchi’s products, won, thanks to the Greek biker and national champion, Ilias Periklis, the fifth place at mountain bike European Marathon Championship, which took place in Jablonné v Podještedí, in Czech Republic, on a 100 km long course, made harder from a difference in altitude of 2.878 metres and which recorded the success of the surprising Czech Kristian Hynek, with the time of 3h57’9”. Hynek got the finish 56’’ ahead of the countryman Pavel Boudný and 2’56’’ ahead of the Austrian Alban Lakata; the Greek Periklis, who from the beginning of the race held always the first placings, arrived fifth, recording a delay of 6’ 31’’ from the winner. Periklis is equipped with Marzocchi 29’’ Corsa SL Carbon fork.
