During past week, MS Racing’s riders and technical personnel met at Val di Sole to share some days of passion and enthusiasms, together with a group of Marzocchi technicians. They made some tests preparing for the next rounds of the world cup. Among the others, all the riders of the team were present: the New Zealand Brook MacDonald, the Austrian Markus Pekoll, the French Emmeline Ragot and her countryman Damien Spagnolo, who, in a recent interview for the French magazine VeloVert, expressed flattering opinions about his partners: «what I love of this team – said Spagnolo – is that, besides Emmeline, all the others raiders are foreigners. It could be very useful to confront with different cultures and approaches, it gives you the chance to learn new things and evolve. The relationship with my team mates is really good».
Spagnolo shared also some positive opinions about his technical sponsors, above all Marzocchi: «I know very well the basic structure of the bike, but I’m not fully aware of the potential of its technical components. This year, we make use of the partnership with Marzocchi and its technical staff, who aid us with the set up of the bike. Each year, the bike itself and its technical asset change a lot. Still, my first sensations, as well my expectations for 2012, are very good». Damien also explained how he feels about races: «I compete in each circuit with the same passion and determination. At the end, the final result is somehow secondary, if I know I made all possible efforts, I can be satisfied about my race even if I’m not winning».
Spagnolo highly appreciates Val di Sole: «I really enjoy this circuit – he told during the interview – it reminds me of the one present in Champéry». During the tests, all the athletes had the chance of studying, together with Marzocchi’s technicians, different set ups for the racing forks “Corsa Superleggera 29”, which equip their bike during world cup. As usually, this year the championship appears to be very hard-fought, and it started very well for the MS Mondraker team, which conquered the third place in South Africa, thanks to the efforts of Emmeline Ragot.
