First race of IXS European Cup: great results for the riders equipped with Marzocchi

The first race of IXS European Cup, held in Monte Tamaro (Switzerland) from April 27th until April 29th and sponsored by Marzocchi, was quite unusual due to the climate.

The first race of IXS European Cup, held in Monte Tamaro (Switzerland) from April 27th until April 29th and sponsored by Marzocchi, was quite unusual due to the climate. After the weather conditions had been perfect for the official training on Friday and the seeding run on Saturday, things changed on Sunday as thick fog and rain made it impossible to secure the course. As a consequence the race had to be cancelled, as any attempts to rescue riders with the help of a helicopter would have been impossible. Therefore the results of the seeding run were declared as final results.

Many riders equipped with Marzocchi products stand in the first positions of the final rankings. Damien Spagnolo, from the team Mondraker MS Racing Marzocchi, conquered the second place, while the spanish rider Bernat Guardia, MASSI DH, got a great fifth place. Marco Milivinti was the first among italian riders, gaining a good twentieth position in the overall ranking table, while Emmeline Ragot - racing for the team Mondraker MS Racing Marzocchi too - represented proudly our female athletes, arriving second in the women league.

All riders equipped by Marzocchi used a 888 RC3 EVO V2 titanium with special M-Works tuning and a Roco RC World Cup M-Works shock absorbers. As usual, a team made by skilled technicians was present to assist the athletes before and during competitions, following closely all the riders equipped by Marzocchi.
