GABRIELE ANGELINI WON THE “1ST TROFEO MET”

Elia Silvestri first in the junior final results of the Internazionali d’Italia MTB

Gabriele Angelini, Team Bianchi, Marzocchi Corsa World Cup 22 May - Gabriele Angelini won the first edition of “Trofeo MET”, Top Class national race, which took place on Sunday 20 May in Talamona (SO). Elia Silvestri, who was sixth on Saturday 19 May in Lugnano Val d’Arda, won the final results of the Internazionali d’Italia MTB.
The young athlete Gabriele Angelini showed himself to be prophet in his own country. In his Talamona, before his parents rushed to incited him, conquered with facility his fourth seasonal success. The race, based on three laps of 5.5 km, was characterized by a long starting climb and a very technical slope in the wood, before the finishing line.
Great satisfaction for his team manager Ferrero: «It was an important win, celebrated in an unusual way: Gabriele crossed the finishing line on one wheel and without hands on the handle-bar. An excellent season for him, with important successes: his next objective will be the MTB Italian Championships, on 1st July in Rogoredo».
Angelini’ success was added to Bianchi’s celebrations for Elia Silvestri. He was sixth at the 4th stage of the Internazionali d’Italia, which took place last 19 May in Lugagnano Val d’Arda, and won the junior final results. Good race for Stephane Tempier too, who with his fourth place was second in the final results (Under 23).
