23th July – Winning is becoming an habit for Lorenzo Suding, who on last weekend won for the fourth consecutive time the Italian Championship in the Downhill category, vied on the suggestive Sestriere course. A success which, at least partly, is to ascribe to the 888 Red Evo V2 Ti fork and to the Roco Rc Wc shock absorbers which equip his bike. The race was very tense and dominated not without difficulty from Lorenzo, who at the finishing line commented: <I’m very happy. It was very difficult. More difficult than last year. The track was very damaged and I was heading for a fall on two curves because of the sand. But I’m very happy>.

In women league, the challenge was between the two major athletes in the “pink” Italian dh: Elisa Canepa, equipped with a 888 Evo V2 Ti fork, and Alia Marcellini. The rider equipped by Marzocchi was the first to go down, getting a good time, even if a little bit higher than the time got during the qualification. Also Alia went down well, but she fell on the rocks zone and the accident caused to her an appreciable delay. She had a 14’’ late on Elisa, who in this way became the new hd Italian Champion. <I’m happy – said Elisa at the finishing line -, unfortunately I fell in the higher part of the course and I was afraid of not succeed, but in the end I got it>
