Cross Country: Torpado ends in style a season full of success
The season ended in the greatest way for Torpado, with Daniela Veronesi and Andrea Tiberi’s victories.
October 22nd – Sant’Anna di Chioggia. The season ended in the greatest way for Torpado, with Daniela Veronesi and Andrea Tiberi’s victories. It was a year full of success for all the athletes of the team and it gave no less than five tricolour titles with Serena Calvetti and Daniela Veronesi: Italian Marathon, Italian international and the team victory of the Italian Title Team Relay. Great was also the placing in the International field, with Serena Calvetti’s fifth, tenth and eleventh placing in the World Cup events. In last Sunday race, both the under23, Nicolò Ferrazzo and Marco De Col, as usually left fast at the beginning of the run with an important action to outdistance the group and take advantage on the opponents, but the most forceful action was that carried out by Andrea Tiberi among the Open, who had success in outdistancing the direct opponents and arriving alone at the finishing line wheeling, while Yader Zoli ends with the group after a technic problem. Ferrazzo and De Col payed the efforts made in the first part of the race and were reached from Stefano Dal Grande, who won the race, ahead of the two young athletes of the “winged horse”. The female race had an only protagonist, Daniela Veronesi, who won ahead of all the others, thanks also to Serena Calvetti’s fall.
