The third round of the French Cup saw the craziest of weather... Oz-en-Oisans, where Tahnée had previously put in an amazing time in the Spint Avalanche a few weeks ago, turned into a complete mudfest, with the organisers having to change the course as it was deemed too dangerous.

In the dry, the permenant track at Oz is a dusty place with a few rock sections - nothing major. For the French Cup, they like to change the courses so they had a crazy course with steep rock sections, rock slab drops onto dust... if it stayed dry an awesome track - especially for the ballsy rider.

It did not stay dry, we had the worst weather the Alps has seen this summer... sun, cloud, rain, thunder, lightening, wind, and hail - we had it all. After a sketchy run Tahnée managed to stay on her bike and finished 2nd in Junior women - she was not too stoked with her time but pleased to get the weekend over with!

"The first bit of the track i didn't do very well. The rocky sections weren't bad, i was staying on but I was all over the place making loads of little mistakes and then one big one. I really pushed it in the pedaly parts to catch up my time. With 8 riders to go I crossed the line first junior women and first Elite... 3 to go and Sandra came down and absolutely smashed it... Celine Gros had a crash after being up on the split, so local girl and junior rider Sandra Reynier took the overall win - awesome result! I came 4th overall and 2nd in Junior girls... not bad considering."
