Marzocchi Rocks the Roc

Sun, bike action, helicopter rides and mountain bike superstars – that was our last weekend along with ten thousands of visitors at the Roc D’Azur.

Bologna (ITA), October 13th, 2011 – Sun, bike action, helicopter rides and mountain bike superstars – that was our last weekend along with ten thousands of visitors at the Roc D’Azur. As one of the event’s main partners, we were thrilled to see the crazy bike action that went on at the MarzocchiSlopestyle Roc and all the other races in Southern France. Next to some of our top athletes signing autographs, we also brought our very own superstars; the 2012 CORSA Superleggera forks.

The unusual format of a dual slopestyle contest is really spectacular to watch. Two riders made their way down the course simultaneously and whippedout some truly impressive tricks on the massive hits. In a dual, you get double the action and have a direct comparison between two riders – the perfect way to enjoy finest mountain bike action. Because of very strong winds on Friday, we were worried for a second that the event may be in danger but thankfully the sunny south prevailed. In the end, it was Louis Reboul who took home first place at the Marzocchi Dual Slopestyle Roc underclear blue skies.

Riders weren’t the only ones who took home prizes last weekend. We held a raffle to celebrate our CORSA Superleggera forks and a lucky winner was lifted into the skies on Sunday morning. He was able to watch the festival from a completely new perspective in a helicopter ride. To make his trip through the clouds perfect, we made sure had the perfect company and sent our progeny Tahnée Seagrave up with him. All that was not enough, for a lasting memory, the lucky winner took home one of our superlight CORSA Superleggera forks!

Of course, we invited some of our biggest XC superstars to come and sign posters or anything else you put into their hands. Anne-Caroline Chausson, who is on the fast track of becoming a XC legend as well as Team GT Skoda Chamonix riders Fabien Canal, Cédric and Cécile Ravanel were available for chats, signatures and some professional advice.
